There are wonderful new weaving books in stock as well as the Ply 51 Yarns book for spinners and Dyers. image1.jpeg
The next issue of Ply is the bobbin led issue. The Ashford Country Spinner and the Louët Irish tension wheels are all bobbin led. They are great for art yarns or lots of plying. If you need a wheel to take on holiday then I have lots of Louet Victoria wheels and carry bags in stock. These wheel fold down very small and I even took mine as hand carry when I flew to Shetland.
There are new kits especially for children with pom-poms makers, French knitting bobbins, finger weaving, God’s eyes, all with a selection of wools presented in a gift box. The new circular seascape weaving kit is proving to be very popular at £20. The recycled shredded sari silks have gone down a storm at all the embroidery Guilds and are great carded into wool for spinning or felt making at 25g for £2.50.Stunning blended merino wool is combed with sparkle fibres to add a twinkle to your work 100g at £8. I have dyed a selection of fine lace and sock yarns with pastel colours and sprayed with contrasting dote of colour.
Our new Spinning and Weaving in the Dales group is growing in numbers if you would like to come and join us you would be very welcome. We meet in our workshop usually the 3rd Tuesday evening of the month and we will have a selection of day workshops throughout the year.
