I relocated my craft business last summer to Reeth Dales Centre and I would like to thank everyone for making me so welcome. I would like to see more businesses being encouraged to move to the Dales. I know Susan Briggs from Dales Tourism and Abi Player from RDCC are working to help those that are here and encourage more to come. My business has given part-time employment, uses the Reeth Post office for all mail order parcels, uses a local printer, electrician, garage etc. Creating businesses helps maintain local communities.
My business is textile based providing a one stop shop and workshop for spinners, weavers, dyers, knitters, felt makers and textile artists. For spinners we have spinning wheels and a wide range of natural and hand dyed wools. Weaving looms for children right up to complex computer operated floor looms. Knitters have a great choice of local wools, hand dyed yarns from a wide range of fibres, buttons and needles and tools.
The Glimakra Emilia looms, floor stand, reeds, bags and 2nd heddle kits are being cleared and all less 40% so get a bargain quickly before they all go. Also being cleared are the spinning wheel bags in 2 sizes less 40%.
In the workshop there is an inspirational selection of ready-made items from rag rugs, shawls, scarves, handbags, greeting cards etc.
I travel all over UK attending big textile events from Edinburgh Yarn Fest, Knit and Stitch at the Rheged Centre near Penrith, Wonderwool Wales in Builth Wells, Step into Wool in Leeds, British Wool Show in York, Yarndale in Skipton and still many more to be confirmed. I am proud to be one of the largest Spinning and weaving suppliers in UK. The Threshing Barn has been growing over the last 24 years.
I run a selection of craft workshops which can be held on a date to suit us both. There is also a list of special workshops held on set days booking is required.
