‘Flags of Hope’ – 2021

IMG_4519_1500

Applications are in, stalls have been allocated……will we get to a wool show in 2021?

Here at The Threshing Barn we have all our fingers and toes crossed that some of the amazing wool shows here in the UK will happen (safely) and if they do, we want you to be a part of our stand!!

Well with a vaccine on the horizon it’s a possibility!!

Currently we all find ourselves living in lockdown again, for many of us it will be hard, some of us will be trying the make the most of it, all of us are missing friends and family but we know you are all busy weaving, knitting, spinning, felting your way through it…. Well, we’d like to invite you to collaborate with us!!

At the start of each year, we here at The Threshing Barn begin to think about how we can make our stall at the shows look bright, colourful, inspirational and above all creative.

This year we want you our loyal, fabulous, creative, and supportive customers to decorate our stall with ‘Flags of Hope!’. We will use the display for a full year of shows from the moment they begin again – giving you all the opportunity to come along and find your piece. We miss seeing you all at the shows and we’d like to take this time to explore the creativity of our friends and customers…we’ll be doing videos throughout and we’d like to share all of your work with each other….it’s going to be an exciting project to be a part of.

We have put together packs of fibres, felt and trimmings which will allow your inner creative to go wild.

The only rule is that your finished flag needs to be approx. A5 in size – you can add your own bits of stash to the piece, you can embellish it with your own bits and bobs, it can tell your story, it can depict your local views or your pets, it could be abstract or just plain random it can be awash with colour or you can keep it mono tone – you can send us more than one – all we ask is that you enjoy the process, get involved and be a part of the next fabulous re-invention of The Threshing Barns stand.

There is no cost to take part we will send out the packs free of charge – all we ask is that you send us your finished piece by March 31st and that you are happy for us to photograph the piece to use in any promotion and let us chat about it on our Live Facebook Channel.

We are extremely excited to see what you produce – Janet and I have made some examples and we will no doubt make some more.

Use this Lockdown 3 to be a part of The Threshing Barn Collective 2021!!
